Big countdown timer for presentations
Speakers keep to time when the time is impossible to miss. Set the length of your slot, put the timer fullscreen on a laptop or a confidence monitor facing the stage, and watch the bar run down. When time is up, the screen flashes and a soft chime plays.
How to use it during a talk
- Pick a preset or type the number of minutes, then press Start.
- Press F to put the timer fullscreen on the monitor the speaker can see.
- Use +1 min if the host gives extra time, Space to pause and resume.
- At zero the display turns red and plays a short chime.
Questions
Can I run the timer on a second screen while I show slides?
Yes. Open this page in a separate browser window, drag it to the second screen and press F there.
Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. The countdown is based on the clock, not on screen updates, so it stays correct in a background tab.
Can I turn the sound off?
Mute the tab in your browser. The visual flash still shows when time is up.
Clock Tab
Open it on a projector, a second monitor or a classroom TV. Press F for fullscreen and the screen stays awake. Want it on every new tab? Add the free extension.
